ANALYSIS
This bill removes the requirement for licensure as an engineer that the 10 years of accumulated engineering experience be under the direction of a licensed professional engineer. This bill further removes that the education or experience required be satisfactory to the board of professional engineers.

STATE OF NEW HAMPSHIRE
In the Year of Our Lord Two Thousand Twenty-Six
AN ACT relative to the requirements for licensure as an engineer.
Be it Enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court convened:
1 Professional Engineers; General Requirements for Licensure. Amend RSA 310-A:12, II to read as follows:
II. Applicants who have the minimum of a bachelor of science degree, or the equivalent, from an ABET or other accredited 4-year institution in an engineering curriculum and more than 10 years of accumulated engineering experience in the practice of engineering, regardless of whether such experience was under the direction of a licensed professional engineer [and satisfactory to the board] may apply to sit for the professional engineers examination. Such an applicant may request a waiver of the fundamentals of engineering examination.
2 Effective Date. This act shall take effect 60 days after its passage.
